The A&P Group at the ULB carries out research on agroecosystems to develop productive agricultural solutions that are both environmentally responsible and socially equitable.
Our special focus is on the evolution and the function of crop pollination in agroecosystems, particularly when it involves bees (both honeybees and their wild relatives) as pollen vectors.
Other aspects of our research involves the ecology and evolution of specialization in insect-plant interactions, particularly the interactions between wild bees and their flowers.
The A&P Group is involved in teaching programmes within the ULB for a range of undergraduate students in agricultural sciences and social sciences, but also at the national and international levels.
At the ULB, our teaching programme focuses on the Introduction to (Tropical) Agroecology, and Research & Development in Agroecology.
